For this Hendersonville homeowner who is a repeat client of BEC Innovations, the goal was to create a beautiful, intentional keeping room: a cozy sitting area just off the kitchen where guests could relax without crowding the cooking zone.
Working closely with the client, our team reimagined the space with both comfort and design in mind. The priority? A room that felt inviting, elevated, and useful—a true extension of the home that could function as a casual entertaining area, reading nook, or quiet morning coffee spot.
Built-ins played a major role in the transformation. Floor-to-ceiling shelving and custom cabinetry added architectural interest and much-needed storage, allowing the homeowner to display books, art, and collected treasures while keeping clutter out of sight. The built-ins also helped frame the room and give it a sense of purpose, anchoring the furniture layout and providing that “finished” look.
We leaned into soft finishes, layered textures, and intentional lighting to give the space warmth and depth. The result is a keeping room that feels relaxed yet refined—exactly what the client envisioned.
