Blair, the eldest daughter of two working parents in Manhattan, KS, excelled in academics and sports, always striving to impress her parents. In 5th grade, a guest speaker’s presentation about architectural engineering at Kansas State University left a lasting impact on her, sparking her career aspirations. She pursued architectural engineering at Kansas State University from 2007 to 2012. After graduating, Blair joined a large union national mechanical contractor in Kansas City, where she rose to the position of senior estimator for an office generating approximately $25 million in revenue over her 7-year tenure. During this time, she and her husband welcomed their first daughter, bringing unexpected joy to their lives.

In 2019, the Roedels relocated to Hendersonville, TN, where Blair noticed a demand for handyman services in their new community. Encouraging her husband to assist neighbors with various tasks, this initiative evolved into the establishment of BEC Innovations, officially launched in July 2020. Blair’s current focus lies in sales, business development, and ensuring that the business upholds the high standards and project outcomes expected by their clients.

Cody, the oldest child of three, grew up as an army brat, constantly moving due to his military father and nurse mother’s professions. Settling in Manhattan, Kansas before his senior year of high school, he met Blair. After a year and a half at Kansas State University, struggling to find his path, Cody decided to enter the workforce. Supporting his family while Blair completed her degree, Cody worked full-time in sheet metal trades for a local mechanical contractor. Moving to Kansas City after Blair’s graduation, Cody took a position with a non-union contractor in Olathe. Over the years, he advanced in the industry, eventually becoming an estimator in the Olathe front office.

Transitioning to Tennessee, Cody continued working remotely for the same company before focusing on his own business, BEC. Starting with minor handyman tasks, BEC expanded to include built-ins, accent walls, cabinetry modifications, flooring, trim work, and minor plumbing and electrical services. After obtaining his general contractor’s license, Cody now serves as a field technician, training and leading the field staff.

Born in 2014, Eleanor enjoys gymnastics, friends and YouTube. So far, she says she has little interest in carrying on the family business, but only time will tell.
